Hazel Holt, 90, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was a member of Eastport Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed writing poems and being with her family. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Hal Holt. Interment will follow in Eastport Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jimmy Hughes, Chris Holt, Ed Storman, Joey Holt, Tommy Lee Roach, and Phillip Kugle. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 son, James Holt of Iuka, MS; 2 daughters, Judy Blakney (J. T.) of Glen, MS, and Sherry Kugle (Gaylord) of Iuka, MS; a daughter-in-law, Tina Puckett of Iuka, MS; a brother-in-law, Lloyd Holt of Kansas City, KS; 5 grandchildren, Linda Davis (Larry), Barbara Blakney, Joey Holt (Susie), Toni Roach (Tommy), and Chris Holt; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, J. C. “Sam” Holt; a son, Donald Holt; a great-grandson, Thomas Roach; her parents, Charlie and Adline Cagle; a sister, Lois Clingan; 5 brothers; and 5 other sisters.
