Elma G. Butler Knickerbocker, 89, of Iuka, Mississippi, formerly of Youngsville, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, September 24, 2011, at the Tishomingo Community Living Center. She was born June 13, 1922 in Chicago, IL, and resided in Youngsville, PA until 2008 when she moved to Iuka. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a secretary, a homemaker, and an avid member of AARP. She enjoyed travel, family, and bragging about her grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Interment will be in Laurel, MD. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 son, Max E. Knickerbocker, Jr. (Michele) of Iuka, MS; 1 step-daughter, Mary Hewitt of Talking Rock, GA; 7 grandchildren, Heather, Michael, Ross, Benjamin, Karis, Brandon, and Gabriel; and 3 great-grandchildren, Lander, Faith, and Bailey. In addition to her family, she is survived by many friends she has made over the years whom she saw as part of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest G. and Mary A.
