Avon Brumley, 93, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, September 06, 2011, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. He was the last surviving member of Company A, 140th Infantry Division, of the U. S. Army that served in World War II. Visitation is scheduled 5 until 8 PM on Wednesday, September 7 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Thursday, September 8, 2011, graveside, officiated by Rev. Merl Dixon. Interment will follow Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 daughter – Patricia Huggins (Michael) of Atlanta, GA; 1 grandson – Jason Matthew Huggins (Ann Marie) of Atlanta, GA; and 1 great grandchild – Morgan Peri Huggins, of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Brumley, and his grandson, Brent Eric Huggins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program at P.O.
