Ernestine Adkins, 82, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, September 4, 2011, at her residence. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Sammy Barnett. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers include Nicholas Young, Freddie Dobbs, Johnson Fowler, Lee Frans, Jeremy Nichols, and Lee Wilbanks. Honorary Pallbearers include Ethan Merrill and Jacob Merrill. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 2 sons, Willie Neal Young (Jolene) of Hardyville, KY, and Charley Ed Young (Debra) of Iuka, MS; 2 daughters, Petrisha Burleson (Lanny) of Corinth, MS, and Shirley Maxwell (Charles) of Iuka, MS; 5 grandchildren, Diane Fowler, Dawn Frans (Lee), Tina Nichols (Jeremy), Nicholas Young, and Lee Wilbanks; and 6 great-grandchildren, Johnson Fowler, Sydney Fowler, Mollie Merrill, Ethan Merrill, Dailee Frans, and Jacob Merrill. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. C. Adkins; and a grandson, Christopher Burleson.
