Ethel Barnes Glodjo, 88, Iuka, MS (formerly of Port Gibson, MS), died September 4, 2011, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Port Gibson, Mississippi. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 6, from 9 am until 12 noon at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 6, at 4:00 PM at Rocky Springs United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time, and will be officiated by Rev. Robert Armstrong. Interment will follow in Hubbard Salem Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 daughter – Shirley Glodjo of Iuka; 1 step son – Edward E. Glodjo of Port Gibson; 4 sisters – Mary Moore of Valley Park; Ann Cunningham of Vicksburg; Lillie Wilson of Louisiana; and Barbara Elmore of Louisiana; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Glodjo; her parents, Fredrick and Amelia Louise Barnes; 2 sisters – Angel Barnes and Rosie Brown; and 5 brothers – Little Walter, William, Albert, George, and J.C. Barnes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rocky Springs United Methodist Church Fund.
