Bobby “Tommy” Laird, 70, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, August 05, 2011, at his residence. He enjoyed fishing and camping along side the Tennessee River. Visitation is scheduled to begin at 6 PM on Friday, August 5 and will continue until service time on Saturday, August 6 at New Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at New Liberty Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Ed Kennedy and Bro. Larry Marshall. Interment will follow in Grissom Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers include Koty Williams, Ricky Cummings, Nicky Cummings, Anthony Laird, Terry Laird, Austin Cook, Blake Rodgers, Eddie Henderson, and Robert Davis. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Pat Laird of Iuka, MS; 1 son – Bobby Laird (Lucretia) of Dennis, MS; 3 daughters – Shelia Williams (Wayne) of Burnsville; Amy Lambert (Robby) of Burnsville; and Jamie Laird of Iuka; 1 brother – Jimmy Laird (Angela) of Glen; 4 sisters – Earline Henderson of Glen, Emogene Cummings of Iuka, Peggy Rhodes (Jimmy) of Olive Branch, and Shirley Grissom (Earl) of Burnsville; 7 grandchildren – Koty Williams, Katelyn Williams, Candace Rogers (Blake), Kim, Patrick, and Austin Cook, and Miranda Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Amy Laird; his brother, Billy Laird; and his father and mother-in-law – Odell Rutledge and Minnie Rudd.
