Weber Wilson Smith, 84, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at his residence. He served as a sergeant in the Philippines in the U.S. Army. He was retired from General Motors after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 PM on Saturday, July 23 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2011, graveside, officiated by Bro. Roger Wood. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Merlon Virginia Smith of Burnsville, MS; 1 son – Troy Smith (Debra) of Dundee, MI; 1 brother – Horace Smith (Mavis) of Burnsville, MS; 1 sister – Kathleen Wiginton (Johnie) of Burnsville, MS; 2 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Celeste Smith; and his son, Roy Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapel Hill Cemetery Fund
