Oma Slack Wright, 99, of Dayton, Tennessee (formerly of Tishomingo, Mississippi), died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Life Care Center of Rhea County in Dayton, Tennessee. She was a lifelong member of Paden Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, at Paden Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time. Services will be officiated by Bro. Dwight South and Bro. Dennis Wellington. Interment will follow in Tishomingo Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 daughter, Mary Jo Roberts Holland, and husband, J. Loyd, of Dayton, TN; 1 brother, Leonard South of Paden, MS; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, T. C. Slack and Floyd Wright; 1 son, Charles Slack; 2 daughters, Willa Dean Durham and Hilda Twitty; and 4 sisters, Verlon Claunch, Tina Riddle, Grace Claunch, and Gladys Pardue.
