Peggy Jean Daniel, 70, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a former heavy equipment operator and helped to construct the Tenn-Tom Waterway. She was also the former owner and operator of The Pub and Cue in Counce, TN. She was an outspoken and generous friend to all, and enjoyed fishing and country music. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her mother, Lillian Carpenter of Kalamazoo, MI; 2 sons, Stan Yow of Key West, FL, and Trip Lomenick of Iuka, MS; 1 daughter, Ann Klutz Craney of Neenah, WI; and 2 grandchildren, Jessica Yow and Jonathan Yow, both of Burnsville, MS. She was preceded in death by her father, George Washington Daniel, and her step-father, Carl Carpenter.
