Melvoline Walker, 77, of Cairo, Mississippi, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Sleepy Hollow, IL. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m, Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011, at New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Jack Whitley. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband of 54 years: Garvin Walker of Cairo, MS; 1 son: Dwayne Walker (Sue) of Cairo, MS; 3 daughters: Donna Dopp (Ken) of Palm Coast, FL, Sheila Walker of Cairo, MS, and Melissa Cordoba (Rudy) of Iuka, MS; 4 brothers: N.C. “Red” South (Janice) of Iuka, MS, Charles South (Barbara) of Rienzi, MS, Truman South (Betty) of Burnsville, MS, and Mackie South of Corinth, MS; 1 sister: Earnestine Trimble of Cairo, MS; 11 grandchildren: Jonathan Dopp, Justin Dopp, James Dopp all of Pal Coast, FL, Heather Mars of Iuka, MS, David Walker, D.J. Walker, Taylor Walker and Tasha Studdard all of Cairo, MS, and Briana Cordoba, Marco Cordoba and Mercedes Cordoba all of Iuka, MS, and 5 great grandchildren: Brian Dopp, Caden Copp, Isabella Montaldo, Nevaeh Studdard and Kylie Studdard. She was preceded in death by her parents: Estes and Audie South, 3 brothers: Wallace, Ted and Bobby South.
