Anne Byrd, 96, of Iuka, Mississippi, died May 8, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center - Iuka. She was a member of Iuka United Methodist Church, and was a librarian for the Iuka Public Library for 15 years. She was a secretary for the FBI, and was formerly employed by the Iuka Chamber of Commerce. Visitation is scheduled for 11 AM until 12 noon on Tuesday, May 10 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, graveside at Corinth National Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jon Kaufman. Interment will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chris Lamb, Bill Holt, Sam Guyton, and Steve Guyton. Honorary bearers will be Ted Castleberry and Gene Gist. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 daughter – Jo Ann Byrd Holt of Memphis, TN; 1 grandchild – Connie Holt Lamb (Chris) of Cleveland, TN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Byrd, Jr., 4 brothers, and 1 sister. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iuka Public Library at 204 North Main Street, Iuka, MS 38852.
