Tommy Wayne Epperson, 67, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. He was the owner and operator of Epperson Trucking Co., Inc. for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. Visitation is scheduled for 2:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Briggs King. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 daughter, Dottie Epperson-Powers (Jeff) of Burnsville, MS; 1 step-son, William Edward Spears (Polly) of Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren, Colton Wayne Grimes, Austin Grimes, and Savannah Powers, all of Burnsville, MS, Kyle Spears of Indianapolis, IN, and Kara Powers of Elk Grove Village, IL; 5 nephews, Mike Epperson (Rhea), Tim Byrd, and David Byrd, all of Burnsville, MS, Jamie Epperson (Tammy) of Tishomingo, MS, and Jason Kirk (Melinda) of Saltillo, MS; 2 nieces, Daisy Williams of Iuka, MS, and Pam Johnson of Willington, NC; and 2 special cousins, Bobby Joe Lambert and Jerry Lee Clark, both of Burnsville, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Epperson; his parents, Noel and Dorothy Epperson; and a brother, Journa Epperson.
