Bro. James Earl Martin, 79, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center - Tupelo. He was retired from the Tishomingo Country Electric Power Association. He was also a minister of the gospel for over 40 years and served as pastor of several churches in the tri-state area. He loved spending time with this family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Wednesday, April 6 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jimmy Daniel. Pallbearers include Frank Wadkins, Dwight Wadkins, Phillip Martin, Chip Martin, J. C. Johnson, and Casey Johnson. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eula Faye Martin of Iuka; 1 son – James Martin of Iuka; 2 daughters – Joanie Lambert (Charles) and Celisa Harwood (Marlon), both of Iuka; 3 brothers – Fred Martin, Jr., Billy Martin, and Charles Martin (Suzanne), all of Iuka; 1 sister – Ila Pace of Iuka; 4 grandchildren – Mechele Drewry (Barry), Chris Lambert (Jennifer), Logan Comer, and Kaylee Comer; 4 great grandchildren – Krystyn and Kayde Lambert and Morgan and Meagan Drewry; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bernie Martin; two sisters, Lois Johnson and Jewel Wadkins; and a granddaughter, Chastinie Nicole Comer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Evergreen Cemetery Fund.
