Laverne Smith Klam, 74, of Corinth, Mississippi, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Magnolia Regional Health Center - Corinth. She enjoyed poetry, animals, flowers, and most of all family gatherings with her family, nieces, and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Friday, February 25 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Bill Wages. Interment will follow in Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery.Pallbearers are Jackie Wood, Joe Miller, Don Smith, Doug Motley, Sammy Smith, and Tyler Oathout. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 2 nieces and primary caregivers – Carol Motley (Doug) of Corinth, MS and Jeanette Deloach McGuyer (Smokey) of Muscle Shoals, AL; a host of other nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Emmitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Klam; her parents, Newton and Leaner Smith; 6 brothers – Marvin, Victor, Roy, Floyd, Lloyd, and Bobby Neal; and 6 sisters – Lurlie, Icie, Dortha, Opal, Nell, and Odelee.
