Jerry W. Long, 69, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith, and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was retired from and was a former Alderman for the City of Iuka. He was also a former member of the Iuka Lions Club. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 16, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Tony Curtis. Interment will follow in Lindsey Cemetery. Pallbearers include Curtis Seago, Don Boggs, Tommy Cornelius, Michael Gattuso, Paul Gattuso, and Jeff Clingan. Honorary Pallbearers include Jackie Bryant, James Grisham, Johnny Southward, Randy Stringer, and Josh Clingan. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Long of Iuka, MS; 3 sons, Jerry W. Long, Jr., of Booneville, MS, Ronnie Long (Susan) of Tishomingo, MS, and Ricky Long (Jill) of Iuka, MS; 1 daughter, Janet Cornelison (Chris) of Iuka, MS; 1 sister, Patty Gattuso (Paul), of Memphis, TN; and 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Molly, Maggie, Madelyn, Emily, Alex, and Megan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Mary Long. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Iuka.
