Roger Freeman Johns, II, 63, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. He was a member of Jackson Camp Baptist Church where he served as Music Director and Adult Sunday School teacher. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was retired from the IC/CN Railroad following 38 years of service. He enjoyed music and wood carving. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, December 13, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Dwight South. Interment will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Pallbearers include Sonny Johns, Alan Johns, Michael Johns, Jamie Hall, Adam South, and Kelly South. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda South Johns of Tishomingo, MS; 3 sons, Roger Johns, III and wife, Lisa, of Memphis, TN, and Alan Johns and wife, Danna, and Michael Johns and wife, Jeanie, both of Southaven, MS; 1 daughter, Sara Johns Hall and husband, Jamie, of Southaven, MS; 3 brothers; 1 sister; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Roger and Winona B. Johns.
