John Andy (Lee) Johnson, 72, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, after a long battle with lung disease. He was known for his love for his family and always had a story to tell about them. He attended Provision Ministry in Iuka, and enjoyed helping with their food giveaways. He never met a stranger and was a friend to many. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, at Provision Ministry and will continue until service time on Thursday. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, at Provision Ministry, officiated by Sister Wanda Keele, Bro. Denvil Keele, and Bro. Larry Marshall. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers include Nathan Vuncannon, Joshua Osborn, Lesle Osborn, Jimmy Lambert, Dustin Mooney, and Andy Aday. Honorary Pallbearers include Donnie Colley, Dr. Al Flannery, Bobby Riley, Tommy Nunley, and Dickie Pearce. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Minnie Sue Johnson of Iuka, MS; 4 daughters, Mary Osborn (Mitchell) and Jennifer Mooney (Lee), all of Burnsville, MS, and Rebecca Curry (Tim) and Jessica Clingan (Josh), all of Iuka, MS; 1 step-daughter, Melvina Borden (Joe); 4 step-sons, Andy Aday, Randy Aday, Terry Aday (Regina), and Willie Lambert; 1 brother, Rufus Johnson (Virginia) of Iuka, MS; 3 sisters, Elsie Lambert (M. C.) of Booneville, MS, Pearlie Smith (Jimmy) of Tishomingo, MS, and Lorine Adcock Harville of Iuka, MS; 10 grandchildren, Lesle Osborn, Josh Osborn (Lily McBride), Kaleena Birmingham (John Moffitt), Nathan Vuncannon (Sara), Dustin Mooney, Issac Vuncannon, Cody Vuncannon, Makayla Johnson, Charles Busby, and Brenda Peters; 3 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Birmingham, Melissa Ann Vuncannon, and Jericho Osborn; 14 step-grandchildren, Andrew Borden, Eddie Joe Borden, Brenda Aday, Virginia Aday, Tina Aday, C. C. Aday, Mary Aday, B. J. Aday, Taylor Aday, Jonathon Aday, Brandon Aday, Peyton Aday, Ryan Aday, and Michele Lambert; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 2 lifelong special friends of the family, Nona Burns Barnett and Sheli Knickerbocker; and 2 special little buddies, Shaleigh Clingan and Lexi Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Marshall Johnson; 2 brothers, Alvie and James Johnson; 1 sister, Louise Johnson; 1 daughter, Lisa Johnson Vuncannon; and 1 step-daughter, Charlotte Lambert. Memorials may be made to Provision Ministry.
