Russel D. Wright, 72, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and retired from the dairy business. A devoted husband and wonderful father, he greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Phillip Logan. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Scruggs Wright; three sons, Monroe Wright (Judy), Martin Wright (Rhonda), and Mitchell Wright (Tammy), all of Iuka; a special mother-in-law, Burchia Scruggs Milligan of Iuka; two brothers, Julian Wright of Cortland, NY and Tommy Wright of Burnsville, MS; two sisters, Reba Cox of Hornsby, TN and Betty Thompson of Cartersville, GA; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
