Edgar Earl Wadkins, 55, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Monday, October 25, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was the former of owner of Sunflower Grocery in Iuka for 20 years, and later was employed as a Liberty National Life Insurance agent. He loved flower gardening and also enjoyed woodworking and cooking.
Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jerry Michael Williams.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Iuka, MS.
Pallbearers include Michael Richardson, Brian Goss, Keith Barnett, Randy Wadkins, Brett Carson, and Brad Thompson.
Honorary Pallbearers include Al King, Robert Hill, Donny Howard, Ronnie Thompson, and David Yarbrough.
Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include 1 son, Jamie Wadkins of Iuka, MS; 1 daughter, Ginger Wood and husband, Tom, of Belmont, MS; 1 brother, Mack Lloyd Wadkins of Iuka, MS; and 2 grandchildren, Jerika Garner and Nathan Wood, both of Belmont, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Pauline Wadkins; and a sister, Willodean Hannon.
