Michael Joe Pruitt, 68, of Corinth, MS, formerly of Iuka, MS, died Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed music. He was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 10 AM until service time on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Cutshall Funeral Home - Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Monday, December 31, 2007, graveside at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Jimmy Rich. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 3 sons, Buddy Ray Pruitt and George Pruitt, both of Birmingham, AL, and Michael Dennis Pruitt of Dequeen, Arkansas; 2 daughters, Mitzi Swilley of Jackson, MS, and Shelly Tabor of Senatobia, MS; 2 sisters, Nena Jones and Beth Pruitt, both of Iuka, MS; 13 grandchildren, Bradley Pruitt, Ashley Pruitt, Angie Tabor, Hailey Tabor, Brian Jones, Jerrod Johnston, Justin Johnston, Roxanne Murphy, Ken Swilley, Jr., Jesse Swilley, Dustin Pruitt, Stevie Pruitt, and Elijah Pruitt; and 1 great-grandchild, Holden Jacob Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Joe and Janice Pruitt; a daughter, Cynthia Pruitt; and a grandchild, Jasmin Jade Johnston.
