Honesty, integrity, devotion, professionalism…these are just a few of the terms that describe Mack Wilemon. Through the best of times and the worst of times, Mack has become a rock that our community can lean on. With his quiet and dignified manner and his lifetime of experience and knowledge, Mack has proven to be a real leader.
Mack grew up in Belmont, MS, and graduated from Belmont High School before attending Northwest Mississippi Junior College and graduating with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science Technology. He then began his career at Cutshall Funeral Home by serving a one-year apprenticeship under the direction of George William Cutshall. He was granted a Mississippi Funeral Service License in 1984 and has been employed at Cutshall Funeral Home ever since.
An active member of the community, Mack has participated in numerous church and civic organizations over the years. He was elected in 1999 as Tishomingo County Coroner and remains in that position today. He is also a member and Past Master of Iuka Lodge #94 F&AM where he currently serves as secretary. Mack is a member of the Corinth Scottish Rite Consistory where he is the Master of the Fourth Degree, a member of the Hamasa Shrine Temple, and a Gideon.
Mack resides in Iuka and is married to the former Nelda Wright. They are active members of the Iuka Baptist Church. They have one daughter, Lydia Wilemon Mills. When asked why he chose the funeral profession, Mack answered that it was a way to help people doing something that he always wanted to do. Our funeral home and our community as a whole are better places because he did.
