Edith "Edie" Bullard

June 14, 1933 — November 27, 2019

Edith “Edie” Bullard, 86, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka.  Edie enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, and gardening. The greatest joys of her life were her children and grandchildren. They will always remember her as the family prankster, especially at Christmas time. She would laugh as the grandchildren would hastily toss candy wrappers away because they believed it was “that old nasty candy”, only to be told to go back and look at it more carefully and find dollar bills in the candy wrappers. One of her last outings from the nursing home was to go with her family to the “Bead Tree” where she enjoyed her time there making memories with her children and grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 10am until 1pm, Friday, November 29, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka.  Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019 at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka.  Services will be officiated by Bro. Sheldon Lambert.  Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Austin Bullard, Chase Bullard, Brett Vaughn, Brian McAfee, Josh Hellums, Blake Burcham, Steven Brown, Scottie Brown, and Brandon Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be the many children she kept throughout the community. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements.  She is survived by her sons, Danny Bullard (Vicki) and Terry Bullard (Renee); her grandchildren, Kimberly McAfee (Brian), Shelly Hellums (Josh), Austin Bullard (Stephanie), Kaycee Burcham (Blake), and Chase Bullard; her great grandchildren, Brett, Alayna, Hadley, Jack, Tess, Kate, J.T., Molly, Henry; and Amelia; and her great great grandchild, Kaison; her brothers, Harace Brown (Rita) and L.C. Brown; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Junior Bullard; her parents, Charlie Austin and Myrtle Cummings Brown; and several siblings. Memorials may be made in Edie’s honor to the Tabernacle in Burnsville or to the Antioch Cemetery Fund in Burnsville. An online guestbook can be accessed at www.cutshallfuneralhome.com.
